I'm an attorney with more than 39 years experience in general litigation. With that experience, I have developed the ability to combine analytical, investigative, strategic, negotiation and courtroom litigation skills to achieve desired results for a wide variety clients, including corporations, financial institutions, construction/service related businesses and individuals.

Veterans Services

I currently serve as the Veterans Affairs Committee chairman for the Bastrop Bar Association. Through the bar association I run the annual veterans free legal clinic and I appear at all Bastrop VA fairs to assist veterans with the legal issues and VA disability claims.

Family

I have been married to my wife, Mary K. since September 1969. We have four children and eleven grandchildren.

Professional Bowling

I bowled for Texas A&M in 1963-64 and also bowled for U of H in 1974-1975 while I attended law school. I was a member of the Professional Bowlers Association from 1979 thru 2000. I have one PBA title from 1981 and I served as a PBA Vice-President (Southwest) from 1989-1990 and as a member of the PBA Board of Directors from 1990 – 1996. In 1981, I was given the award by the PBA for outstanding service to the Southwestern Region.

During my tenure on the Board I wrote the initial guidelines for the PBA player sponsorship/advertising. Additionally, I rewrote the PBA by-laws, the rules for competition and the rules of player conduct to incorporate all of the previous 20+ years of amendments. I ate, drank and lived bowling from 1958 to 2000.
